By Brian Liskai: ATTICA, Ohio (April 5, 2006) – After a very successful season opener Saturday, April 1 (after the original opening date of Friday, March 31 was rained out), Attica Raceway Park will be back in action Friday, April 7, with the 410 winged sprints, 305 winged sprints and limited late models in action. And, for the second straight week, the following day – Saturday, April 8 – is a rain date for “Ohio’s Finest Racing” venue.
“Having the next day rain date for these early shows gives us a better chance of getting some racing in,” said ARP Operations Manager Rex LeJeune.
On Friday, gates will open at 5 p.m. with racing set to begin a 8 p.m. If racing is postponed until Saturday, gates will open at 4:30 p.m. and racing will start at 7:30 p.m.
Ticket prices are $14 for adults (16 and older); $12 for senior citizens; $10 for teens 11-15; and kids 10 and under get in free. Pit passes are $25.
