Attica Raceway Park cancels April events

ATTICA, Ohio – In accordance with the state and federal governments extension of the “state at home” orders through the month of April to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, Attica Raceway Park has cancelled all events this month. That includes the cancellation of the Core & Main Spring Nationals originally set for Friday and Saturday, April 10 and 11, the opener of the All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads/Kistler Racing Products Attica Fremont Championship Series Presented by the Baumann Auto Group on April 17 and racing on April 24.
“The Governor’s order is in effect until May 1. We encourage ALL our fans and race teams to practice the social distancing guidelines. The more people do this the faster we can get back to doing what we enjoy and the more lives we save,” said Rex LeJeune, Director of Operations at ARP. “We will continue to keep an eye on the ever-changing situation and provide updates about our schedule on all our social media platforms.”

Attica Raceway Park cancels April 3 event, continues to monitor virus situation

ATTICA, Ohio – Attica Raceway Park has cancelled the April 3racing due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the “stay-at-home” order issued by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine.
Under DeWine’s order only essential businesses are permitted to stay open through at least April 6, at which point state officials will reassess the situation. Attica Raceway Park officials say the race season opener will be evaluated week to week as health and government officials work to stem the spread of the virus.
“As for now the the Core and Main Spring Nationals are still on. We will follow the orders of the government and the advice of the health officials and hopefully things get back to normal soon. We encourage everyone to do their part to help stem the spread of this virus,” said Rex LeJeune, Director of Operations at Attica Raceway Park.
For the time being, Attica Raceway Park is set for the Core & Main Spring Nationals, Friday, April 10 and Saturday, April 11featuring Tony Stewart’s Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions. Joining the All Stars on Friday will be the Propane.com/Dirt Nerds Podcast Late Models while the Fremont Fence 305 Sprints join the All Stars on Saturday.

ATTICA, Ohio – Attica Raceway Park has cancelled the March 27 racing due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Track officials say the race season opener will be evaluated week to week as health and government officials work to stem the spread of the virus.
“We all are eager to gather with our racing family but this situation is very, very serious and we all need to protect ourselves and each other. We will follow the advice and direction of the experts and hopefully things will get better a lot sooner if we all do our part,” said Rex LeJeune, Director of Operations at Attica Raceway Park.
For the time being, Attica Raceway Park is set to open Friday, April 3 (rain date of Saturday, April 4). Virus impact forces Attica Raceway Park to cancel March 20 event

ATTICA, Ohio – Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s order prohibiting mass gatherings of 100 people or more in an effort to stop the virus, Attica Raceway Park officials will cancel the 2020 season opener scheduled for March 20.
“We will keep monitoring this ever-changing situation and keep everyone informed as we move forward. As of today, the March 27 event is still on and we will stay vigilant as to what the experts and government officials are dictating,” said Rex LeJeune, Director of Operations at Attica Raceway Park.
“As we said, our top priority is to make sure everyone is safe. We encourage our fans and race teams to follow the directions of the health officials,” he added.
DeWine on Tuesday, March 12 declared a “state of emergency” in Ohio. President Donald Trump declared a “national emergency” because of the pandemic on Friday, March 13. As of Friday, March 13, the Ohio Department of Health confirmed 13 people tested positive for the novel coronavirus which causes COVID-19. Four of those new cases were in the Cincinnati area and all have been treated and released according to the health department. So far Ohio has had five other individuals – 3 in Cuyahoga County, one in Stark County and one in Trumbull County – test positive for coronavirus. In all five cases the patients are in their 50s – four men and a women. In the United States, health officials report there are 1,922 confirmed cases of Coronavirus with 41 fatalities.
