Attica Raceway Park adds rain date for Ohio Sprint Speedweek

ATTICA, Ohio – Attica Raceway Park has added a rain date for the track’s Ohio Sprint Speedweek featuring the FloRacing All Star Circuit of Champions Presented by Mobil 1. Attica is set to open the 39th Ohio Sprint Speedweek, which features eight nights of racing across Ohio over nine days, on Friday, June 11 on Ohio Laborers/Ohio CAT Night. Should the June 11 event get cancelled, Attica will utilize a rain date for speedweek of Sunday, June 13.

The Propane.com/Dirt Nerds Podcast UMP Late Models are set to join the All Stars on June 11. If the rain date is needed, the night will feature just the All Stars gunning for $6,000 to win.

For Friday, June 11, gates will open at 3 p.m. with racing underway at 7:45 p.m. If the June 13 rain date is used, gates will open at 3 p.m. with racing under way at 7 p.m.

Attica Raceway Park has been a part of Ohio Sprint Speedweek every year since 1990. In 2020, track champion Cap Henry bested the All Stars for the speedweek win at Attica.

The 33rd Annual Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic Presented by Racing Optics will hit the track at Attica Raceway Park on Tuesday, July 13 featuring the best sprint car drivers in the world. “Young Money” Kyle Larson of Elk Grove, California added the 2020 Brad Doty Classic victory to his incredible 2020 season. In fact, the Brad Doty Classic victory was his 22nd overall win at that point of the racing year. It was a dominating performance as he led all 40 laps.

This year will mark the 16th time the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series has sanctioned the Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic Presented by Racing Optics. There have been 24 different winners in the 30 contested Brad Doty Classic features (2 have been rained out).

ATTICA, Ohio – Heavy rains over night with rains, strong winds and cooler temperatures forecast throughout the day Friday, May 28 have forced Attica Raceway Park to cancel racing on Steinle Chevrolet-Buick of Clyde/Stillwater Metals/Bazell Race Fuels Night.

Attica Raceway Park roars back to life Friday, June 4 on Edward Jones of Clyde-Mike Neill Financial Advisor Night Presented by Integrity Auto & Truck Sales of Bucyrus. It is mid-season championship night and will feature the All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads/Kistler Racing Products 410 Attica Fremont Championship Series Presented by the Baumann Auto Group, the NAPA of Bryan 305 AFCS Presented by Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales and the Propane/com/Dirt Nerds Podcast UMP Late Models. The night’s racing will award double points as the teams chase the coveted Attica Raceway Park championships.

The points battles at Attica are intense. Lemoore, California’s Cole Macedo leads Trey Jacobs by a mere 11 points with former track champions Stuart Brubaker and DJ Foos just 24 points behind in the Callie’s Performance Products 410 Sprints. Ashland, Ohio’s Ryan Markham looks to add another late model title to his resume by leads former track champion Matt Irey by just 6 points and two time and defending track champion Devin Shiels by 34 markers. Attica’s 2005 and 2019 Fremont Fence 305 track champion Jamie Miller leads defending and five time track champion Paul Weaver by 46 points.

Coming Friday, June 11 Attica Raceway Park kicks off the annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek featuring the FloRacing All Star Circuit of Champions Presented by Mobil 1 on Ohio Laborers/Ohio CAT Night. The annual trek through the Buckeye State features eight nights of racing over nine days. In the All Star’s first appearance at “Ohio’s Finest Racing” speed plant in April, Monrovia, Indiana’s Justin Peck picked up his first ever Attica victory. Last year 2020 Attica champion Cap Henry – who is now chasing an All Star title – captured the speedweek win at Attica.,

The UMP Late Models will also be in competition June 11, battling for a $2,000 payday.
