Henry keeps rolling with Attica 410 win; Moore scores late model victory; McGrath tames 305 sprints

By Brian Liskai

ATTICA, Ohio – Cap Henry continued his dominance at Attica Raceway Park, Friday, Aug. 22, driving to his sixth 410 sprint win of the year at the track on Wilson Tire/Central Ohio Farmers/Ohio CAT/Cam Tech Industrial Services Night.

The three time and defending track champion took the lead from Chris Andrews on lap 11 and cruised to his 26th career Callie’s Performance Products 410 Sprint win at Attica. It is his 12 overall victory of 2025. The bounty on Henry increases to $700 for Sept. 5.

Other than the two World of Outlaw NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series events at Attica, Henry, who started fourth in the 30 lap feature Friday, has not finished out of the top three the rest of the season at Attica Raceway Park.

Bryan Sebetto rallied late to take second with eighth starter DJ Foos finished third, and Chris Andrews and Bryce Lucius rounded out the top five.

“I thought we were going to have our work cut out for us there. The track was pretty fast and Chris (Andrews) was fast early. I started to move around there and Zack had that thing pretty good and I could move down. Traffic was starting to get a little bit tricky. That car is just so fast…it kind of scared me early in the race. It was puffing smoke and I was having to wipe the visor to get the oil off of it. I’m so proud of my guys, Jeff, Chris, Chad, Gary, Jeff and everyone involved in this thing. It’s really special. I’ve dreamed of having a season like this. We did it in 2020 and came close in 2023,” said Henry beside his Premier Planning Service, Jeff Ward Demolition, Ohio Logistics, Primal Tee Shop, Innovative Excavating, Elliott’s Custom Trailers and Carts, FK Rod Ends, King Racing, Griff’s Engines; Berryman Racing Shocks, Callie’s Performance Products, Dyers, Power Cool Manufacturing, SCS Gearbox, Tony Elliott Foundation backed #33W.

The Dirt Nerds Podcast Powered by Propane UMP Late Model feature was shaping up to be a barn-burner late in the 25-lap affair. After Matt Irey led the opening lap, defending track champion Kyle Moore took over until Rusty Schlenk grabbed the lead on lap 12 after a spirited battle with Moore for several laps.

Moore stayed within striking distance until a caution with just eight laps to go. On the ensuing restart Schlenk encountered some mechanical woes, bringing out the caution and handing the lead back to Moore, who drove to his third win of the season. A fantastic battle behind Moore saw Ryan Missler edge out Devin Shiels for second with Irey and Ryan Markham rounding out the top five.

The victory was Moore’s ninth career win at Attica in the last two seasons.

“Last week I thought I had a shot at winning but I messed up. I hate to win it like that tonight….you was going to see a hell of a race. But, I’ve lost a lot of them like that,” said Moore beside his Kepling Flooring, Tye Tworg Longhorn, Joyride Transportation, Smitley Towing, Short Stop, Malcuit Race Engines, Wilson Realty agent Robin Jakubick, RL Bond Septic, Hepthorn Golf Cart Sales, House of Spud, K&B Septic Service, Coffman Composites, Team Midwest Paint, Platinum Design backed #1*.

John Ivy led the first eight laps of the Fremont Fence 305 Sprint feature before Jimmy McGrath took over. Ivy stayed within striking distance and had a shot when the caution flew on lap 16. McGrath rim-rode while Ivy cruised the bottom and stayed within a car length the rest of the way. McGrath took his second win of the year at Attica and his third career win at the trak over Ivy, Dustin Stroup, Paul Weaver and 13th starter Seth Schneider.

McGrath collected the $500 bounty as Jamie Miller, who has five wins at Attica in 2025, got into a flipping car early and finished eighth.

“Johnny made me nervous. I know he’s pretty good on the bottom and I was kind of hesitant to go to the top but it worked,” said McGrath beside his MAK Fabrication, BSE Welding & Fabrication, Sulfer Town Pub, Level Utilities, B&B Drain Service, Level Performance, WDLC Sheds & More, Wood Wizard, D2 Excavating #5JR.

Attica Raceway Park will be in action Friday and Saturday, Aug. 29 and 30 for the Attica Ambush. The NAPA Auto Parts All Star Circuit of Champions will be joined by the American Iron Man Late Model Series on Friday night with the 305 sprints joining the All Star sprints on Saturday.

Henry continues 410 dominance at Attica; Shiels gets 1st Late model win; Schneider earns 3rd 305 victory

By Brian Liskai

ATTICA, Ohio – Cap Henry continued his dominating season with his fifth win of the year Friday, Aug. 15 at Attica Raceway Park. The three time and defending track champion survived a late race caution to score the win on Croghan Colonial Bank/Five Star Maintenance/FE Kroka & Associates/Ohio Truck Sales Night.

The Republic, Ohio driver started fifth in the 30-lap Callie’s Performance Products 410 Sprint feature and took the lead from Zeth Sabo on lap eight and drove to his 25th career win at Attica and 10th overall victory in 2025. Bryce Lucius, DJ Foos, TJ Michael and Larry Kingseed Jr. rounded out the top five.

“In qualifying we blew a power steer line and me being a very unprepared race car driver I didn’t bring a spare uniform so Mike Bores let me borrow one of his. The guys did a good job after qualifying getting the power steering changed out. That car was fast and it was fun…it’s fun when your stuff’s that good and you can just move around. Zack (Myers) did a bunch of stuff we haven’t done all year and I’m just glad he’s working on my car and I get to drive this thing,” said Henry beside his Premier Planning Service, Jeff Ward Demolition, Ohio Logistics, Primal Tee Shop, Innovative Excavating, Elliott’s Custom Trailers and Carts, FK Rod Ends, King Racing, Griff’s Engines; Berryman Racing Shocks, Callie’s Performance Products, Dyers, Power Cool Manufacturing, SCS Gearbox, Tony Elliott Foundation backed #33W.

Since no one could defeat Henry, the Attica Raceway Park bounty increases to $600 next Friday.

Britton, Michigan’s Devin Shiels, a five time Attica track champion in the Dirt Nerds Podcast Powered by Propane UMP Late Models, has been held winless in 2025 at “Ohio’s Finest Racing” speed plant. That came to an end Friday as Shiels took the lead from Larry Bellman on lap five and held off numerous late challenges from Matt Irey and Kyle Moore to score his 21st career victory at Attica. Irey, Gregg Haskell, Collin Shipley and Ryan Markham rounded out top five.

While battling for the lead with seven laps remaining, Moore, the current and defending Attica point leader, got into the front stretch wall, ending his night. With the victory, Shiels collected the $500 for the bounty the track put on Moore.

“I figured Kyle would be ripping the lip and doing something crazy here…he’s pretty darn good here. It was a pretty demanding track, I think I heated up pretty good. We’ve led some here this year and broke a lot of stuff,” said Shiels beside his Magic Fountain Auto Wash, Rally’s Hamburgers, Dundee Products, Banshee Graphics, Salenbein Trucking & Excavating; T-Town Lawn Care, Dirt Nerds Podcast,Continental Service, Emerson’s Cigar Lounge backed #51.

While the stats show he led all 25 laps of the feature, Fremont, Ohio’s Seth Schneider had to hold off a hard charging Blayne Keckler the final five laps to score his third win of the season in the Fremont Fence 305 Sprints at Attica. It’s Schneider’s fourth overall victory of 2025 and his fourth career win at Attica and it came over Keckler, Logan Mongeau, John Ivy and Steve Rando.

Defending track champion and current point leader Jamie Miller was involved in a heat race crash and did not compete in the A-main so the bounty on him increases to $600 should someone defeat him next Friday.

“That motor gets it. I have to thank Bryan (Sebetto) for letting me run it all year. That thing is bad ass…thanks Level Performance. Kevin (Schlachter, car owner) did a lot of homework and learned a lot over the off-season. He’s freaking awesome…he got us here,” said Schneider beside his Josh Kromers Seamless Gutters, Commercial Glazing Systems, Overwatch Precision, Level Performance, Level Utilities, Sandusky Bay Remodeling, RCF Chassis backed #36.

Attica Raceway Park will be back in action Friday, Aug. 22 with the 410 and 305 sprints and UMP Late Models in action.

It’s bounty season at Attica Raceway Park

ATTICA, Ohio – Sometimes things change, sometimes they stay the same. When the dominance of the three point leaders at Attica Raceway Park has not changed from a year ago it becomes bounty season.

In the Callies Performance 410 Sprints three time and defending Attica champion Cap Henry has a 138 point lead with 4 wins in 12 races. In the DirtNerds Podcast Powered by Propane UMP Late Models defending track champion Kyle Moore has a 79 point lead with 2 wins in 11 races. In the Fremont Fence 305 Sprints five time and defending track champion Jamie Miller has a 26 point lead with 5 wins in 11 races.

Going into the last three full points nights, (Aug. 15, Aug. 22 and Sept. 5) Attica Raceway Park will put a bounty on all three division point leaders. The bounty will start at an extra $500 to any driver who can beat Cap Henry, Kyle Moore, or Jamie Miller. If those drivers win Friday, Aug. 15 the bounty will rise to $600 for Aug. 22. If Henry, Moore or Miller win Aug. 22 the bounty will rise to $1,000 on championship night.

“Our weekly competition is tough in all three divisions. For these three drivers to be so dominant all year really says something about them and their teams,” said John Bores, Attica Raceway Park Promoter.

In order to collect the bounty the point leaders need to be competing in the A-Main. Once a bounty is collected it will then be taken away from that driver.

“Usually you only see a bounty in one division…we have it in all three! Im looking forward to see who can take down the point leaders and take home these bounties,” said Justin Liskai, Attica Raceway Park Director of Operations.

If any marketing partners or any other business wants to add to the bounty or put up their own bounty please contact Director of Operations Justin Liskai via email at justin@atticaracewaypark.com or by phone at (419)-217-5436
