Late Models To Have Purse Increase For 5.4.07 Race

By Brian Liskai: (Attica, OH) The Fultz Fabrications & Speed Shop Attica Late Models will be competing for an increased purse Friday, May 4 thanks to the support of Underground Utilities and Bazell Race Fuels. The total purse for the A-main feature is over $4,300 with the winner taking home $1,000.

The complete late model A-Main payoff will be: 1. $1,000; 2. $600; 3. $400; 4. $325; 5. $250; 6. $200; 7. $175; 8. $150; 9. $130; 10. $120; 11. $110; 12-20. $100. The non-transfer cars from the B-main will earn $50.

The Rules For The Fultz Fabrications & Speed Shop Attica Late Models Are:

• Aluminum motors are allowed, but cars must add 100 pounds of weight. The centerline of the weight must be located no further back than the center of the middle exhaust ports. All weight must be properly secured. Big Block aluminum motors are allowed with no additional weight required.

• There is no tire rule or no weight rule for the entire car.

Also on the racing card Friday, May 4, the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions make their debut in Ohio after a two-month break from racing – since their competition in Florida in February. The event is a make-up of the rained out Coors Light Spring Nationals that were planned April 6-7 and pays $5,000 to the feature winner.

Besides the special races planned throughout the year for the Attica Late Models, Rayburn Race Cars and Service Drive Solutions are proud to announce the 2007 Fultz Fabrications & Speed Shop Attica Late Model Champion will receive a free chassis for winning the coveted crown.

4.27.07 Race Rained Out

By Brian Liskai: (Attica, OH) Persistent rains forced the cancellation of racing at Attica Raceway Park for Friday, April 27, disappointing the area scouts who were to be honored on Burger King Night.

The Attica area received nearly two inches of rain between Wednesday night and Friday afternoon with off and on rain showers forcasted for the remainder of the day, prompting the cancellation.

After a two-month break from racing – since their competition in Florida in February – the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions get back to action as they invade “Ohio’s Finest Racing” venue on Friday, May 4. The event is a make-up of the rained out Coors Light Spring Nationals that were planned April 6-7.

The likes of 2006 All Star champion Greg Wilson – who won Attica’s season opener, Bucyrus Bullett Brock Mayes, Paul “The Masher” May, and other travelers will battle Attica’s tough regulars, Lee Jacobs, Mark Keegan, Mike Linder, John Ivy, Paul Weaver, Byron Reed and more for the $5,000 top prize.

The Fultz Fabrication & Speedshop Attica Late Models are also in competition on Coors Light/ Underground Utilities/ Bazell Race Fuels Night, competing for $1,000 to win ($100 to start the A-Main).

Scouts Welcomed To Attica 4.27.07

To reward them for their unselfish ways, Attica Raceway Park will give free admission to every Boy Scout, Girl Scout, Cub Scout, Brownie, etc. that wears their uniform to the races, Friday, April 27, 2007.

Burger King will sponsor the night of racing featuring the World Auto Parts of Huron and Cleveland 410 Sprints, 305 sprints and Fultz Fabrication and Speedshop Attica Late models.

Besides the Scouts, all pack leaders who wear their uniforms will also gain free admission.

Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing scheduled to begin at 8 p.m.

Attica Spec Tire Rule Goes Into Effect 4.27.07

The right rear spec tire will be the Hoosier 105/18-15, compounds SC12, SC15, and SC25. The retail price is $183.65.
