OReilly All Stars Return to Attica as Wilson Leads Points Chase

By Black Swamp Media Group: (Camargo, IL) The O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions will resume action this Friday night in the Buckeye State as the series now heads to Attica Raceway Park to make up the second event of the rained out Coors Light Spring Nationals.

Greg Wilson, who picked up a win at Attica’s season opener, returns to defend his 2006 All Star Championship as he currently leads the season points chase over Danny Smith and Brian Paulus. Brock Mayes picked up his first All Star win at his home track the last time the series was in town back on May 4th. Mayes is steadily climbing in the point standings after missing the first three events of the season before returning from racing in Australia.

Many of the All Star drivers cut their teeth at Attica before heading out on the road with the traveling series. The fans are familiar with the names and the excitement they bring when they take on the tough locals who kick up the dirt each Friday night at the high banked 1/3-mile speed ring. Attica is one of the fastest short tracks on the All Star tour and always makes for exciting 3 wide racing and plenty of lead changes. Mayes’ margin of victory over Byron Reed was less than a front bumper and only the photographer at the finish line knew for sure who had won.

The All Stars will be taking notes on their setups as the next visit to the facility in June will kick off the 25th Annual UNOH Ohio Sprint Speedweek presented by RacingJunk.com. Make your plans now to attend. The Official Hotel of the All Stars for this weekend and during Speedweek will be the The Holiday Inn Express in Tiffin located at 78 Shaffer Park Drive, Tiffin, OH. Call 1-877-477-5817 to reserve a room at the special All Star rate.
