Goodyear Tire Required For 410 Sprints During 2012 Season

By Brian Liskai: (Attica, OH) Attica Raceway Park will require the O’Reilly Auto Parts 410 Sprints to compete with Goodyear tires on all four corners in 2012. The move comes about after the World of Outlaws and UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions organizations announced they would require teams to use Goodyear tires on the back and front this coming season.

Fremont Speedway will also require Goodyear tires on all four corners on all 410 sprints in 2012.

As a way of helping the 410 sprint teams make the change, Attica Raceway Park will have a special race on Friday, June 15. The Burns Electric/ Fisher Performance Mid-Season Championship Night presented by Goodyear Tire will pay $3,000 to win the 410 sprint feature and $250 to start the A-Main. The feature will also start 22 cars with an increased payout throughout the A-Main

“Ohio’s Finest Racing” venue will kick off its 2012 season on Friday, March 30 (rain date of Saturday, March 31) with the O’Reilly Auto Parts 410 Sprints, Fultz Fabrications and Speed Shop UMP Late Models and Fremont Fence 305 Sprints.

Favorite Dirt Truck Moment of 2011 Season Announced

The fans of Attica Raceway Park have spoken and voted the duel between Brian Arnold & Art Ball on May 6th, which saw Arnold victorious as their favorite Dirt Truck moment of the 2011 race season!

That night saw Arnold drive to the lead at the drop of the green from his outside front row starting spot with fourth place starter Art Ball and Dwight Waltermeier in tow. Just as Arnold hit lapped traffic on lap four, the caution would fly for a multi-truck pile-up. On the restart, Ball would drive to Arnold ’s inside and the the pair would raced side-by-side for nearly the remainder of the race. Ultimately Arnold would out duel Ball for his only feature win of the season.
