Brubaker survives late race tangle for FAST 410 Attica win; Shiels earns late model victory; Weaver survives last lap restart for 305 FAST win

ATTICA, Ohio – Just three days ago Stuart Brubaker’s sprint car was a bare frame. He had backed it into the fence at another race track the previous Saturday and had free-revved his engine so that had to go back to the shop. His crew rolled up their sleeves and got the car and engine back together and the Gibsonburg, Ohio driver drove to his second Callies Performance Products 410 Sprint win of the year on American Powersports presents the Eric Phillips Classic at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, May 18.
 
To add to the intrigue, Brubaker tangled with Broc Martin as the pair battled for the lead in lapped traffic with 10 laps to go with Martin taking a nasty tumble. It was Brubaker’s 7th career 410 win at Attica and he garnered very valuable points in the chase for the All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads FAST 410 Championship Series presented by Ohio Logistics title. He came into the night third in the FAST standings and finished ahead of Craig Mintz and Cap Henry.
 
“I feel horrible about what happened. Me and Broc are friends and I get along with his family. He was on the outside and I came down across the bottom and the car drifted up and I didn’t see him any more and my right rear hit his left front. Hopefully this week I can give him a call and we can work this out,” Brubaker said in the Engine Pro Victory Lane.

Brad Doty Classic takes flight with Priority Aviation Dash

ATTICA, Ohio – The 30th Annual Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic Presented by Racing Optics will take flight at Attica Raceway Park on Tuesday, July 10. And not only will the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series drivers fill the air with high flying action, but Richard and Jennifer Marshall of Priority Aviation LLC have come aboard as the title sponsor of one of the night’s dash races.

The Marshalls have jumped into dirt track racing in a huge way, becoming co-owners of the Clauson-Marshall Racing team which fields midgets; the Clauson-Marshall-Newman (Ryan) Racing sprint car team; Bacon Marshall Motorsports with Brady Bacon running winged sprint cars; and co-owners with NASCAR star Ricky Stenhouse Jr. of the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car driven by Sheldon Haudenschild. They also sponsor the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Cars driven by Logan Schuchart, Kyle Larson and Rico Abreu.

“To say Richard and Jennifer Marshall have become involved in dirt track racing is a huge understatement. Besides owning and sponsoring several race teams, they have spear-headed the Bryan Clauson Suite Tower Project at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum. I’m very thankful for their involvement in our event,” said Brad Doty, Co-Promoter of the Brad Doty Classic.

Casebolt takes American Ethanol win at Attica; Rando earns 305 victory; Valenti out-duels Keegan in trucks

ATTICA, Ohio – Richmond, Indiana’s Steve Casebolt maneuvered through traffic and hit his marks perfectly Friday, May 11 at Attica Raceway Park, leading all 40 laps of the Bilstein 40 to claim the American Ethanol Late Model Tour (AELMT) win worth $4,000.
 
Lindsey, Ohio’s Steve Rando survived a late race caution, leading all 25 laps of the Fremont Fence 305 Sprint feature for his fifth career Attica win. Fostoria, Ohio’s Shawn Valenti battled the entire 15 laps of the dirt truck feature with Dustin Keegan before recording his 15th career win at “Ohio’s Finest Racing” speed plant on Underground Utilities Inc. Night.
 
For Casebolt, it was his second career win at Attica and came during the first ever visit to the track by the AELMT.
 
“I just went out there and tried to hit my marks. I never saw any other cars. Obviously I led the whole thing but it was nerve-racking to try and hit those marks. It was razor thin out there without making a mistake and thankful we hung on for the win. I want to thank all these fans…it’s cold out here. I appreciate you all for coming out and all my guys back at the shop who do a great job,” said Casebolt beside his Sudz Car Wash, Cornett lighting, Billy Moyer Victory Race Cars, VP Race Fuels, JE Pistons backed #C9.
