Update 2 (5/14): Working around the down pouring rains produced by Mother Nature, Porkchop and crew have the new stands well over 2/3 of the way up and we look in good shape to have the 550 extra seats ready for the Friday, May 21st visit by the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series! Update 1 (5/11): After some great early season crowd counts and based on last year’s attendance for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series visit, Attica Raceway Park has been busy adding more seats in time for when the Outlaws invade in 2010. “Ohio’s Finest Racing” speedplant will host the World of Outlaws only Northern Ohio appearance on Friday, May 21st!
The new bleachers will be attached to the existing pit bleachers in turn four. The new 550 seats in the bleacher addition will be divided into roughly 200 more seats for the pit area and around 350 more seats for the general admission area near the pit area walk-in gate. Track staff members started leveling the surface for the new stands this week.
