Brad Doty Classic rescheduled with All Stars at Attica Raceway Park

By Brian Liskai

ATTICA, Ohio – Mother Nature may have won the battle but Attica Raceway Park and Brad Doty are determined to win the war.

After the 31st Annual Ohio Logistics Brad Doty Classic Presented by Racing Optics was rained out Tuesday, July 16, fans expressed their disappointment and Attica Raceway Park listened. The Brad Doty Classic is back on and will now be a weekend affair for the traditional Attica Ambush, Friday and Saturday, Aug. 30 and 31 featuring the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions Presented by Mobil 1.

“The fans spoke and we listened. Brad has done so much for sprint car racing and we did not want this season to go by without honoring him,” said Rex LeJeune, Director of Operations at ARP.

“I’m so honored and humbled by the outpouring of support since Tuesday. I’ve said it a million times but it is so fantastic to work with Attica and feel how the fans embrace this event. It’s going to be a fun weekend as we crown another Brad Doty Classic champion,” said Brad Doty, Co-Promoter of the event.

On Friday, Aug. 30, the All Star sprints will battle for $5,000 to win on Baumann Auto Group Night. The Summit Racing Equipment UMP Late Models will also race for $2,000 to win and double points to decide Attica’s 2019 track champion.

Saturday, Aug. 31 will feature a $10,000-to-win All Star sprint feature on All Pro Aluminum Cylinder Heads Night with the Fremont Fence 305 Sprints battling for $1,000 to win.

The weekend wraps up the 2019 racing season for “Ohio’s Finest Racing” facility.

Ohio Logistics remains the title sponsor of the Brad Doty Classic and Racing Optics continues as the presenting sponsor. Also, R&R Enterprises will be the sponsor of all heat race action with Callie’s Performance Products and Priority Aviation the sponsors of the dash races. JEGS High Performance will also come back as the B-main sponsor.

“To have all our great marketing partners say they will continue to back this race just fills my heart. The racing community never ceases to amaze me,” Doty said.
