(Camargo, IL ) While most of the nation is getting ready for a three day weekend, the O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champions are gearing up for three nights of racing excitement that will span two states.
On Friday September 4th, the series will be traveling to Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania to take on the PA Posse. Then on Saturday September 5th the All Stars will travel to Ohio for a showdown on the 1/3-mile clay oval at Attica Raceway Park. The weekend wraps up at Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, Ohio on Sunday night September 6th.
Going into the weekend, Tim Shaffer is in command of the points lead with two-time All Star Champion Greg Wilson chasing him down. The hottest race on the track will be for the O’Reilly All Star Rookie of the Year. Ryan Bunton has the lead, but Daron Clayton has been chipping away on his lead each race and is within 59 points of stealing the lead from Bunton. Also battling for the top rookie honor are David Gravel and Brandon Wimmer.

ATTICA RACEWAY PARK
On Saturday night the All Stars will travel to Attica Raceway Park for the Attica Ambush. The last time the All Stars took on the regulars in Attica, Dale Blaney stole the lead on the last lap to score his first victory of the season. Blaney began his night in the fourteenth position and methodically worked his way up to the front of the pack while Tim Shaffer appeared to run away with the event. After stealing second from Greg Wilson, Blaney muscled his way around Shaffer coming off of Turn 4, making his pass going into Turn 1 on the final lap. It was a drag race to the checkered flag, but Blaney would hold onto the spot, winning one of the most exciting races of the 2009 season for the All Stars.
