By Brian Liskai: (Attica, OH) Rain struck Attica Raceway Park Sunday just as hotlaps were getting ready to take to the track to kick off the 26th Annual University of Ohio Sprint Speedweek, forcing the cancellation of the night’s action.
There were 55 O’Reilly All Star Circuit of Champion sprints in the pits for the Aarons Sales & Lease/Ohio CAT Night of racing and a strong contingent of Service Drive Solution UMP Attica Late Models.
Attica Raceway Park will be back in action Friday, July 4, as Quality Welding of Bellevue sponsors the Fan Appreciation Night. Admission is only $10 for a full program of 410 sprints, 305 sprints, late models and dirt trucks. The pit gates will be opened for fans after hotlaps and there will be food specials – a true family night out with fun, food and exciting racing.
The Ohio Sprint Speedweek – featuring seven straight nights of racing across the Buckeye State – moves on to Wayne County Speedway Monday, June 23.
