he fans of Attica Raceway Park have spoken and voted Caleb Griffith’s checkers and wreckers feature win on August 5th as their favorite 305 Sprint Car moment of the 2011 race season with nearly 70% of the votes collected.
When Paige Polyak and Caleb Griffith hit turn three for the final time, Griffith blasted to the inside and slid up beside Polyak, who drifted down. The pair banged wheels as they exited turn four and both tried to hold on and race to the checkers. Both went spinning across the start-finish line with Griffith winning by a nose. The exciting finish brought the fans at Attica Racewya Park to their feet that night and made for a rememberable first-career feature win for Griffith at “Ohio’s Finest Racing” speed plant.
Over the off-season atticaracewaypark.com will be conducting several polls to help determine what was the greatest moment of the 2011 season at Attica Raceway Park. Each poll will feature five events that stuck out in the minds of the Attica Raceway Park staff from the past season for one particular division.
