2012 Dirt Trucks Sponsor Announced

By Brian Liskai: (Attica, OH) The 2012 season opener for Attica Raceway Park is getting closer and the excitement is growing every day. “Ohio’s Finest Racing” venue has made a few slight schedule changes.

Bob Dible, Attica’s 2011 dirt truck track champion, has agreed to become the division sponsor this season through his two businesses, Bob’s Machine Shop and BMS Engines out of Fostoria . Dible, who scored three feature wins in 2011 and never finished out of the top five in any of the feature events, has been a big supporter of the dirt trucks since their inception. Dible has 10 career feature wins at Attica.

“Bob helps anyone in the pits who asks…he’s a true competitor…he wants to beat them on the track. He also wants to help the division through his business and has stepped up to be the sponsor. We know we will have an exciting season with the Bob’s Machine Shop, BMS Engines Dirt Truck Division,” said Rex LeJeune, ARP Operation’s Director.

Bob’s Machine Shop and BMS Engines have built engines for other dirt truck teams like Steve Endicott and even late model engines for Ernie Haynes. Call Bob at 419-436-8248 for information.

Bob’s Machine Shop and BMS Engines have also stepped up to sponsor the racing on Friday, May 4. That will also be the 305 Engine Builder’s Challenge paying the 305 sprints $1,200 to win the feature event, but the UMP late models will take their roofs off and now the dirt trucks will battle for $500 to win.

Also, the Fremont Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) Championship Series has added a FAST season for the 305 sprints in 2012, and ARP has moved one of their dates from May 11 to May 18.
