(Attica, OH) The UMP DIRTcar Late Model Summer Nationals Tour – affectionately known as the Hell Tour – made its first ever stop at Attica Raceway Park in 2010, and ever since, dirt track late model fans have been anticipating its return. And the 2011 version promises to be even more exciting.
Attica Raceway Park officials recently announced the Friday, July 15 event will now include the Summit Racing Equipment UMP Modified Nationals tour and the Fremont Fence 305 Sprint Cars on Central Ohio Farmers Night. The Computer Man Dirt Trucks, originally on the schedule for this date, have been moved to Friday, July 22.
“It’s been many years since Attica has hosted the exciting open-wheel modifieds… what an event this will be! Fans will see some of the nation’s best late model drivers and some of the best modified drivers as well,” said Attica Promoter John Bores. “You could see some drivers competing in both the UMP Late Model and UMP Modified events at Attica.”
The UMP Modifieds will compete under the UMP DIRTcar Modified guidelines under Attica Raceway Park track procedures. Summit Racing Equipment is putting up a $10,000 point fund for the tour plus over $5,000 in Summit gift certificates for contingency awards. Modified drivers will accumulate points and be awarded points for their best seven finishes on the tour
