April 8th and 9th Races Cancelled, All Stars Rescheduled For April 15

ATTICA (April 5, 2016) – With extremely cold temperatures forecasted for Saturday, April 9, in Attica, Ohio, Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions and Attica Raceway Park officials have decided to postpone Saturday night’s portion of the HD Supply Spring Nationals to Friday night, April 15. Temperatures are forecasted to only reach the mid 30s on Saturday, with the low temperature dipping as far down as the low 20s.

“With the weather becoming an obvious factor for the weekend, it’s in our best interest to postpone the event to April 15th,” explained Rex LeJeune, Director of Operations at Attica Raceway Park. “We want everyone to have a positive and enjoyable experience at the home of ‘Ohio’s Finest Racing.’ Our goal is to maximize this event’s potential and rescheduling will certainly help that. We hope to see everyone here to support the Arctic Cat All Stars on Friday, April 15.”

The rescheduled HD Supply Spring Nationals presented by UUI & Fisher Performance will ignite what is now a triple-header weekend for the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions through Ohio and Pennsylvania. After their visit to Attica Raceway Park on Friday night, April 15, Arctic Cat All Star teams will travel east to the Wayne County Speedway near Orrville, OH on Saturday, April 16, followed by a visit to the Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway near Bedford, PA on Sunday, April 17.

Attica Raceway Park will open pit gates at 3:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon, April 15, with racing scheduled to begin at 7:45 p.m., sharp. Ticket prices include $22 for adults, $20 for seniors, $10 for children ages 11-15, with kids 10 years of age and younger granted admission at no charge. Pit passes will be $35. About the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions:

All Star Enterprises, LLC, wholly owned by Tony Stewart, d/b/a the All Star Circuit of Champions, is a winged sprint car series. The All-Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series is one of the oldest traveling 410 sprint car organizations and is a staple of grassroots, open-wheel racing. Formed in 1970 by Bud Miller, the series has largely been considered the first ‘outlaw’ Sprint Car organization of the modern era. After a 10 year stint as owner of the All Stars, Miller passed control of the series to Bert Emick in 1980; a reign that would continue through 2002. Guy Webb then purchased the series from Emick in the summer of 2002 and served as the series President for the next 12 years. Motorsports entrepreneur Tony Stewart agreed to terms with Guy Webb to become the sole owner of the original winged sprint car tour in January of 2015.
