By Brian Liskai: ATTICA, Ohio (Friday, June 23, 2006) – Heavy rains – as much as 10 inches in the Attica area – from Wednesday through Friday morning have caused the cancellation of racing on Quality Welding Night for Friday, June 23 at Attica Raceway Park.
The heavy rains Wednesday night have caused severe flooding throughout Northwestern and North Central Ohio.
Attica Raceway Park will be in action Sunday, June 25, as “Ohio’s Finest Racing” venue kicks off the traditional All Star Circuit of Champions Ohio Speedweek. Gates will open at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, with racing slated to begin at 7:30 p.m. The limited late models are also in action.
ARP Operations Manager Rex LeJeune said the Speedweek shows should offer fans great excitement, as not only with the tough Attica regulars be in competition with the All Star members, but several teams from the National Sprint Tour and the World of Outlaws have indicated they will compete.
