Bowman, Henry, Ryan & Roepke Score The WIns At Attica; Mintz, Missler, Dussel & Keegan Take Track Titles

By Brian Liskai: (Attica, OH) Brad Bowman had to sit out nearly a month of racing because his low-budget team didn’t have a motor. While his car sat without an engine, Bowman raced go-karts and it paid off Saturday as the Shelby, Ohio driver picked up his first career 410 sprint car win on Kistler Racing Products Season Championship Night at Attica Raceway Park.

“This is incredible. We’ve been racing up here for like 10 years and this is my first win here and to do it in a 410 is crazy. You have Jac Haudenschild, my childhood hero and I just won my first 410 feature with him behind me,” said Bowman beside his Kilgore and Hearing CPAs/Gressman Powersports/Snyder’s Floor Covering/Meggit Powdercoating/Paul’s Drive-In/Fred Wolff Auctioneer/Fremont Waterblasting/Innovative Graphics backed #55.

“I didn’t want all those yellows…it was making me nervous. Last week we went 30 laps straight and once I got in the lead I was like ‘okay let’s keep it going.’ I was thinking I was going to get slid in turn one. The car was super…it drove itself the whole race. We got this motor back and me and Mike Britt talked and we are just doing basic set-ups,” added Bowman. “I have to thank Mike Britt…he owns the car and Jeff Elliott, he did a deal for us with the motor the last three years. My Dad, my brother and Joe Ridley, he’s part owner too and Dave Deyo at Kistlers, he’s kept us racing the last three years and all my great sponsors,” added Bowman.

Gibsonburg, Ohio’s Craig Mintz suffered a blown engine with seven laps to go while running fourth, but he would still lay claim to his second straight track championship in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 410 Sprints.

“We were pretty good early and started reeling those guys in. Don’t know if I had anything for the 55 but right before those two cautions the motor started to go sour and I thought I could nurse it but it didn’t make it. Our goal was to win the track championships at Attica and Fremont and the FAST deal. Hopefully we get another bullet back…Paul (Kistler) is pretty good with that…for next week,” said Mintz beside his Real Geese Decoys/R2C Filters/Erie Shore Propane/Kistler Racing Engines/Design Graphics Group/Keller Chevrolet/Walby Construction/KS Sales and Service/Story Equipment backed #09.

The Summit Racing Equipment UMP Late Model feature was a dandy as Ada, Ohio’s Jon Henry slid past race-long leader Ryan Missler on the last lap to get his second win of the season. Missler would wrap up his fifth consecutive track championship. It is Henry’s 13th career feature win at Attica.

“I had my work cut out. Ryan was really good and I had nothing to lose there on that last lap…I had to give it a shot. I hope I gave him enough room. So many people to thank this week. Fultz Fabrications…I spent probably one hard, hard week there. I got probably five hours of sleep every night. This is a new Rayburn Race Car and I’m happy to get into victory lane for them. I have to thank Keith Berner at Accuforce. I spent a day with him and really just dissect this car and go through it and here we are in victory lane,” said Henry beside his Mean 15 – Fultz Fabrications, Henry Farms, Mike and Sheila Keller, Truman Quarter Horses, Lehman & Lehman, Norada Lanes, Associated Plastic, Home Savings and Loan, William H. Bass Trucking, Ron Spencer Real Estate, Jim Weber Motorsports, Automated Transport, In Memory of Darrell Kirsch, Re-Deck of Northwest Ohio, and Fremont Speedway backed machine.

For Missler, 2013 was a frustrating season at Attica as he could garner no wins.

“I couldn’t have done this without all the help from my crew and sponsors. We wanted to win that one bad but we seem to be snake bit at the end of every race here. We just couldn’t buy any luck here this year but I’m happy to get the championship,” said Missler beside his York Fabrication/Quality Welding/Taze DJ Service/Terry McConnell Excavating/King Industrial Supply/Twin Lakes Golf Course backed #50Y.

Castalia, Ohio’s Jordan Ryan would drive under race-long leader Paul Weaver with five laps to go to pick up his first win of the season at Attica in the Foster’s Auto Body 305 Sprints. It is Ryan’s second career win at Attica.

“I messed up there on the last lap and about gave that one away. I’ve watched Dale Blaney run the bottom for years and I try to run my car like that and it’s been working,” said Ryan beside his J&J Automotive/Kistler Racing Products/Frosty Frog/Village Pizza House/Walton’s Cutting Crew/Griff’s Engines backed #5. “Griff’s Engines gave us a great motor and my Dad had this thing set up perfectly.”

With his fourth place finish Bradner, Ohio’s Nate Dussel would lock up his third consecutive track championship in the 305 sprints.

“I knew I had my work cut out for me starting 12th. I had to be patient which is hard for me. I have to thank Steve Rando. He raced me clean and gave me a lot of room,” said Dussel beside his Berrier Fabrication/Kylynn Manufacturing/Kistler Racing Products/Dussel Welding/Conrad Transport backed #1. “I like to win races more than anything but today I was looking at those championship banners in the garage and I knew I wanted another one.”

In a crashed filled feature for the Bob’s Machine Shop Dirt Trucks, Dan Roepke Jr. would go unchallenged for his fourth win of the season.

“I never thought those cautions would end. Unfortunate for that one bad night we had we could have had a championship. I thought we were going to get it tonight but I heard over the radio he (Dustin Keegan) got us by one point. All I could do was win tonight,” said Roepke beside his Perkin’s Tree Service/Johnny’s Electric/Vision Quest backed #88.

Dustin Keegan cut a tire on the first lap, got it changed and started on the tail. He would have to finish fourth or better to lock up the dirt truck track championship. He sat fifth with three laps to go when the caution would fly. On the restart he would get around Brian Sorg for fourth and that’s where he finished to claim his first ever track championship by just one point.

“When we cut that tire it took out the brakes. I ran the whole feature without brakes. I knew I had to get one more spot and luckily Brian messed up there in turn two and I got underneath him,” said Keegan beside his Foster’s Auto Body/Paul’s Drive Thru/York Fabrication/Gressman Powersports/LST Excavating/Advance Auto Parts backed D1. “I can’t Joe West my owner and my crew enough. My Dad and Ted Foster, my girlfriend and my son and all the guys who work on this.”

O’Reilly Auto Parts 410 Sprints – Brad Bowman #55
Stuart Brubaker and Stuart Williams would bring the field to green in the 30-lap 410 sprint feature with Williams getting the advantage. Fourth starting Bowman would slide into second on lap two and would drive under Williams for the lead on lap four.

Just as Bowman was going to hit heavy lapped traffic on lap seven the caution would fly for Mitch Harble who had a flat left rear tire. On the restart Bowman led Brandon Martin, Williams, Brubaker, Greg Wilson and Craig Mintz. Williams’ run would end on lap 13 with steering issues as he brought out the caution. The restart order was now Bowman, Martin, Mintz, Wilson and Todd Heller.

The caution would fly at the half-way point for debris with Bowman leading Martin, Mintz, Wilson and Chris Andrews. All eyes however were on “The Wild Child” Jac Haudenschild who started 21st and had charged up to 10th. When the green reappeared Bowman began to pull away slightly from Martin as Mintz and Wilson were locked in a great battle for third with Andrews continuing to run fifth. Mintz would coast to a stop on lap 23 with a blown motor.

On the restart Andrews slid into third with Wilson and Rob Chaney rounding out the top five. Bowman pulled away again as Martin ran comfortably in second with Andrews, Wilson, Chaney, Byron Reed, D.J. Foos and Heller and Haudenschild in tow.

Bowman would drive to the win over Martin, Andrews, Wilson and a charging Haudenschild.

Summit Racing Equipment UMP Late Models – Jon Henry #15
In the 25-lap late model feature, Missler and last week’s winner Garrett Krummert would bring the field to the green. Krummert would spin in turn one, necessitating a complete restart. On the second attempt Krummert would tangle with another car, ending his night. When the green flew for a third time it was Missler leading Henry, Cody Scott, Mike Bores, Nate Potts, Matt Irey and Brandon Thirlby. Bores would move into third on lap two as Henry raced under Missler to challenge for the lead.

Tim Sabo would spin on lap eight to bring out the caution which kept the leader out of heavy lapped traffic. On the restart Missler and Henry resumed their side-by-side battle for the lead with Bores, Irey, Thirlby and Scott in tow.

Missler and Henry would finally encounter lapped traffic by the 17th circuit which allowed Missler to pull away slightly. Irey would move around Bores for third on lap 19, bring Thirlby into fourth. The final caution would fly on lap 21 for Ky Harper who had charged from his last starting spot into sixth.

The four lap shoot-out for the win produced side-by-side racing between Missler and Henry with Irey, Thirlby and Bores there to pounce. Missler would take the white flag and when he and Henry flew into turn one, Henry through a slider at Missler. Missler would drive back under to maintain the lead town the back stretch but Henry blasted to his inside in turn three and pulled in front for the win. Missler, Irey, Thirlby and Bores would round out the top five.

Foster Auto Body 305 Sprints – Jordan Ryan #5R
In the 25-lap 305 sprint feature Paul Weaver and Brett Lane brought the field to the green with Weaver gaining the advantage over Alvin Roepke, Lane, Dustin Dinan, Tyler Gunn, Nate Reeser and Ryan. Dinan would move into third on lap two with Ryan storming into sixth. Ryan would use the low line to take fourth on lap four just as the caution flew for Luke Griffith and Reeser spinning at opposite ends of the track.

On the restart Weaver would continue to lead as Roepke bobbled in turn four with Dinan and Ryan moving into second and third with Gunn taking fourth and Seth Schneider into fifth. Lane would bring out the caution on lap eight with the restart order Weaver, Dinan, Ryan, Gunn, Schneider, Dussel and Roepke.

Ryan would take second on lap 12 just as the caution flew for one of the infield tractor tires being shoved into the racing groove. On the restart Ryan served notice he had something for Weaver as he raced to the leader’s inside. With 10 laps to go Ryan was side-by-side with Weaver as the caution would fly for Dan McCarron just as the leaders were going to hit lapped traffic.

Weaver would lead Ryan, Gunn, Dinan, Dussel, Schneider and Steve Rando when the green came back out. Ryan would drive into the lead on lap 20 just before the caution would fly for Gunn who had problems in turn two, ending his good run. On the restart Ryan would stick to the low groove to maintain his lead with Weaver blasting the cushion with Dinan now into third and Dussel and Rando rounding out the top five.

As they raced to the checkered, Ryan would bobble in turns three and four and Weaver nearly got by but Ryan kept his composure and drove to the win over Weaver, Dinan, Dussel and Rando.

Bob’s Machine Shop Dirt Trucks – Dan Roepke Jr. #88
Kyle Cline and Dan Roepke would bring the field to green in the 15-lap dirt truck main. But, before a lap could be completed a multi-truck pile-up would bring a second start with Roepke gaining the upper hand over Cline, Brian Sorg, Willie Keegan, Curt Inks, Shawn Valenti, Tony Siferd and Art Ball. The caution would fly for debris after a lap was completed.

When the green flew Roepke lead Cline, Sorg, Valenti and Inks. On lap four another caution for a three truck crash. When the green reappeared it didn’t stay out long as just three laps later Matt Foos would spin. Three laps of green and another caution for Dana Fry and Willie Keegan spinning. The restart order was Roepke, Cline, Sorg, Valenti, Inks and Dustin Keegan.

Andy Keegan would bring out the caution on lap 12 as he stopped on the front stretch. Roepke was just too strong all night and pulled away for the win over Valenti, Cline, Dustin Keegan and Sorg.

Attica Raceway Park will wrap up the 2013 season with a double-header weekend. On Friday, Aug. 30 Detroit Chocolat presents the Lucas Oil Late Models for a $10,000 to win affair along with the University of Northwestern Ohio All Star Circuit of Champion Sprints. Lay Becomes Attica’s First Repeat Winner; Krummert Gets Late Model Win; Dussel Scores 6th 305 Sprint Victory; Roepke Dominates Trucks

By Brian Liskai: (Attica, OH) Brian Lay became Attica Raceway Park ’s first repeat 410 sprint winner of 2013 Saturday. Lay passed early race leader Chris Andrews on lap 18 and pulled away for his second career sprint victory on WNWO NBC Channel 24/ Edward Jones of Clyde Night.

In the caution-free 30-lap feature, only nine cars finished on the lead lap as Andrews and Lay set a blistering pace.

“There’s been a lot of monkeys on this back and as long as I can get as many trophies as monkeys that I had we’ll be doing just fine,” said Lay beside his Seagate Blasting/Local 85 Boilermakers/Gary Shumaker Fuel Transport/Black Berry Corners/Wood Court Collision/Kistler Racing Products backed #45.

“I have to thank all my sponsors, my dad, Uncle Kenny, my cousin Rick…all the guys that come with me and help me on a weekly basis. It takes so much time and so much effort to get this thing to go around let alone the money but it’s so sweet when you are standing here,” added Lay in the Engine Pro Victory Lane as his car belched steam. “It was about 250 (degrees) when I crossed the line…I hope she ain’t hurt. But, we’re celebrating tonight.”

Despite having a hiccup in his heat with some mechanical woes, Craig Mintz managed to rally from his 15th starting spot to finish eighth which nearly wraps up his second Kistler Racing Products FAST (Fremont Attica Sprint Title) Championship Series title and it’s $10,000 payday. There’s one FAST night left, that coming next month at Fremont Speedway. Mintz also adds to his Attica Raceway Park point lead as he heads into the championship night next week looking for his second straight track title.

Butler, Pennsylvania’s Garrett Krummert and defending track champion Ryan Missler put on a whale of a show in the Summit Racing Equipment UMP Late Model feature. The two raced side by side nearly the entire race and when Krummert threw a slider on Missler with two laps to go, it nearly took both of them out. But, while Missler went to the pits with a flat tire, Krummert went on to score his third career Attica win.

“I don’t know what it is about this track but I love coming here…wish it was closer, we’d come every Friday night,” said Krummert beside his Krummert Automotive/Alternative Power Sources/East End Powder Coating/Diamond Tanning backed #29. “We’ll finish the year out here. We’ll be back next week and for the Lucas Oil Late Model deal.”

“I almost crapped my pants when I threw that slider. I never even seen him when I came back on the race track. I feel bad that I got into him but I don’t think he even knew I was there,” added Krummert of his winning move. “I have to thank my mom and dad…without them this wouldn’t be possible. And my beautiful fiancée Jo and my best friend Ryan and his wife Amy. I have to thank Mike Spinewebber from TRD Race Cars and Brian from Turbo Start.”

Missler’s misfortune keeps the point race tight for the late model track championship. Cody Scott’s third place run and Matt Irey’s second place finish – after going to the tail early after changing a tire – pulls them close to Missler going into the championship night and it’s double points.

Nate Dussel took the lead from Jordan Ryan by a bumper when the caution flew in the Foster’s Auto Body 305 Sprint feature. On the restart Dussel ran off and was never seriously challenged again as he scored his sixth victory of the season at Attica . It is his 11th career win at Attica , moving him into a tie with John Ivy and Scott Miller for 11th on the track’s all-time win list for the division. The victory is also the 11th of the season for Dussel who also has five wins at Fremont Speedway.

“That was fun racing with Jordan . He races you clean. My guys had this thing hooked up tonight,” said Dussel beside his Berrier Fabrication/Kylynn Manufacturing/Conrad Transport/Kistler Racing Products/Gressman Powersports backed #1. “I want to dedicate this win to Cody and Shanna White’s little boy Nolan who lost his life this past week. We had his sticker on the car and he was definitely riding with me tonight.”

Dussel still can’t breathe easy going into championship night as Dustin Dinan and Jordan Ryan remain within striking distance. Also, John Ivy’s second place run keeps him close to Dussel in the JLH General Contractors FAST Championship point standings with one race remaining.

In the Bob’s Machine Shop Dirt Trucks, Dan Roepke Jr. of Woodville , Ohio , dominated the event, leading all 15 laps for his third win of the season. The win – the sixth of his career at Attica – moves him closer to point leader Dustin Keegan heading into the season championship night.

“The truck was awesome tonight. The guys have been working hard and making changes to it and it paid off,” said Roepke beside his Perkin’s Tree Service/Village of Elmore/Johnny’s Electric/Village Inn/Vision Quest backed #88.

In the 30-lap, $3,000 to win O’Reilly Auto Parts 410 Sprint feature, Andrew Palker, who earned his second straight championship the previous night at the NAPA Wayne County Speedway, and Chris Andrews, who scored his first UNOH All Star win at Attica last month, led the field to the green. Andrews would charge to the lead with Palker, D.J. Foos, Brad Bowman, Lay, Jody Keegan and Randy Hannagan in tow.

Lay would use the bottom groove to move into third by lap four as Andrews hit lapped traffic with a sizeable lead. But, lapped machines racing side by side in front of Andrews allowed Palker and Lay to close. Lay would steal second on lap 11 and quickly closed on Andrews.

With 17 laps in the books, Andrews and Lay were nose to tail and a circuit later Lay slide by for the lead while Palker, Bowman, Foos, Jody Keegan and Travis Philo gave chase. With eight laps to go it was now Lay who encountered heavy lapped traffic but Andrews could not make up any ground. Meanwhile Palker had his hands full with Bowman and Foos.

Lay would slice his way through traffic to take the win with Andrews, Palker, Bowman and Foos rounding out the top five.

Summit Racing Equipment UMP Late Models – Garrett Krummert #29
Cody Scott and Nate Potts paced the field to the green for the 25-lap UMP late model main that was slowed several times in the early going by cautions. Potts lead lap 1 over Scott, Missler, Dave Hornikel, Larry Kingseed and Krummert before the caution flew for a tangle between Matt Irey and Ryan Markham. Irey would go to the pits to change a tire and would rejoin the field at the tail.

A lap and another caution for a Steve Sabo spin. On the restart Scott drove under Potts for the lead with Missler, Hornikel, Kingseed and Krummert in tow. Missler would rocket into the lead on lap four but couldn’t shake Scott as Hornikel and Krummert stayed close. The caution would fly on lap seven for a Josh Haynes spin and on the restart Hornikel would loop his machine in turn two. When the green reappeared Missler lead as Krummert drove into second with Scott third and Ky Harper and Kingseed rounding out the top five.

The caution would fly again on lap nine for a Potts spin with the running order Missler, Krummert, Scott, Harper and Mike Bores. When the green flew the battle for the lead was on as Krummert and Missler ran side by side. But, another caution on lap 13 for a Jamie Reed and John Mayes Jr. tangle would slow the fight.

On the ensuing green, Krummert drove into the lead by a nose to lead lap 14 but Missler regained the top spot a lap later as the two continued to battle back and forth. Behind them Scott was locked in a great race with Bores for third. Missler and Krummert would drive into lapped traffic on the 18th circuit. On lap 23 Krummert would drive into the lead and he and Missler made contact with Missler stopping with a flat tire after the white had flown.

With the green and white waving together, Krummert drove unchallenged the final lap for the win over Irey who stormed from the rear after his early race mishap, Scott, Bores and Tim Sabo.

FAST 305 Sprints – Nate Dussel #1
Dustin Dinan and Jordan Ryan would bring the field to the green for the 25 lap Foster’s Auto Body 305 Sprint main. Ryan would get the upper hand to lead while Dussel drove into second with Dinan, Jamie Miller, John Ivy and Dan Hammond in tow.

With Ryan hugging the bottom Dussel would blast to his outside lap after lap challenging for the lead. Dussel would lead by a bumper on lap eight as the caution flew for debris. On the restart Dussel would pull away from Ryan as Dinan was locked in spirited battle with Ivy and Jamie Miller for third.

With eight laps to go the leaders raced into heavy lapped traffic as Ryan stayed close to Dussel while Dinan and Ivy tried to hold off Paul Weaver, Miller and Bobby Clark. Someone made contact with one of the infield tire barriers, necessitating a caution on lap 19.

With a clear track, Dussel pulled away from Ryan as Ivy took third with Dinan, Miller and Weaver in tow. As the white flag flew Jeremy Duposki would spin in turn four. With the green and white flying on the restart, Dussel had his hands full with charging Ivy. But, the Bradner, Ohio driver was able to hang on for the win as Ivy, Ryan, Dinan and Weaver rounded out the top five.

Bob’s Machine Shop Dirt Trucks – Dan Roepke Jr #88
Defending Attica champion Andy Keegan and Roepke would bring the field to the green for the 15 lap Bob’s Machine Ship Dirt Truck feature. Roepke would get the upper hand over Keegan, Dustin Keegan, Kyle Cline and Ivy before the caution flew for a stalled Shawn Valenti.

Two more laps and a caution for a Brandon Stuckey spin with the running order Roepke, Andy Keegan, Dustin Keegan, Ivy, Cline, Willie Keegan and Art Ball. Roepke would pull away as Andy Keegan ran comfortably in second with Dustin Keegan and Ivy battling for third. Ivy would take the spot on lap 11.

Roepke built his lead to over three seconds as he drove to the win over Andy Keegan, Ivy, Dustin Keegan and Cline.

Double points are on the line Saturday, Aug. 25 for Kistler Racing Products Presents the Mark Keegan Classic with all four divisions in action. Gates open at 4 p.m. with racing at 7 p.m. For more information go to www.atticaracewaypark.com

2013 Saturday Night Races Preview

By Brian Liskai: (Attica, OH) There’s still plenty of racing excitement at Attica Raceway Park during August. “Ohio’s Finest Racing” speed plant moves to Saturday nights and will wrap up it’s 25th anniversary season in a historic way.

It begins on Saturday, Aug. 17 with WNWO NBC Toledo Channel 24 Night with the O’Reilly Auto Part 410 Sprints in their final Kistler Racing Products FAST (Fremont Attica Sprint Title) Champion Series points event at the track for 2013. The series – split evenly between Attica and Fremont Speedway – rewards the champion with $10,000. Attica ’s feature will pay the winner $3,000 on Aug. 17.

Also racing will be the Summit Racing Equipment UMP DIRTcar Late Models, Foster’s Auto Body 305 Sprints and Bob’s Machine Shop Dirt Trucks.

Saturday, Aug. 24 will be the night Attica Raceway Park crowns its 2013 champions on Kistler Racing Products Night. Double points will be on the line for all four divisions. Last year local driver Brandon Martin claimed the feature win in the 410 sprints while Craig Mintz picked up the track title. In the late models, Ryan Missler would score the feature win to wrap up his fourth straight track championship. Teenager Jordan Ryan would get his first career win in the 305 sprints with Nate Dussel locking up the track title. Dan Roepke Jr. would get the dirt truck victory with Andy Keegan taking home the track championship.

This year, Mintz has had consistent top five runs and leads the 410 sprint points with former 305 sprint track champion Caleb Griffith within striking distance. Travis Philo has had a solid year including scoring his second career feature win and sits third in the standings with rookie D.J. Foos fourth and Duane Zablocki rounding out the top five.

To show how level the playing field is, there have been 10 different 410 sprint winners in the 10 races held this season at Attica .
In the late model point standings, Missler – though winless at Attica in 2013 – has a slight lead as he looks for his fifth straight track title. Youngster Cody Scott picked up his first career win earlier this year is looking to dethrone Missler. In fact, Scott is the only driver in the track’s top 10 in points who has a feature win in 2013. Matt Irey, Mike Bores and John Mayes Jr. are within striking distance of the title.

In the 305 sprint division, Nate Dussel’s five wins has him eyeing a second consecutive track championship. But, Dustin Dinan has caught fire as of late and his three feature wins has him just a handful of points out of a title. Young Jordan Ryan is also a contender for the championship. Jacon Keckler and last year’s rookie of the year Tyler Gunn round out the top five in points.
In the dirt trucks Dustin Keegan’s consistent top five finishes has him atop the point standings, but Dan Roepke Jr. has posted two wins and is there to take the title should Keegan falter. Brian Sorg, Kyle Cline and Art Ball are still in the tick of the title hunt as well.
Attica ’s season concludes on a historic note.
For the first time ever the track will host the Lucas Oil Late Model Series for a $10,000-to-win affair along with the University of Northwestern Ohio All Star Circuit of Champion Sprint Cars on Detroit Chcolat Night, Friday, Aug. 30.

On Saturday, Aug. 31, the UNOH All Stars return for the traditional Baumann Auto Group Attica Ambush with the late models, 305 sprints and dirt trucks also in action.

As of Aug. 1 Williamson, West Virginia’s John Blankenship leads the Lucas Oil point standings over “The Coronel” Steve Francis with Jimmy Owens, “The Real Deal” Don O’Neal, Earl Pearson Jr., Dennis Erb Jr., Jared Landers, Eddie Carrier Jr., Billy Moyer Jr. and Jerry Lierly. Owens leads the series with five wins in 2013 with Erb scoring four victories, Blankenship with three and Pearson with a pair.

Prior to Attica’s race the Lucas Oil series had two huge weekends with the 31st Annual Sunoco North/South 100 at Florence (Kentucky) Speedway and the 21st Annual Comp Cams Topless 100 at Batesville (Arkansas) Speedway along with the 10th Annual Scorcher at Volunteer (Tennessee) Speedway and the Whiskey City 50 at Lawrenceburg (Indiana) Speedway.
The UNOH All Stars have made two appearances at Attica in 2013. Current series point leader Dale Blaney of Hartford , Ohio , scored the win during the annual Spring Nationals while former Attica track champion Chris Andrews picked up his first career series win to open the 31st Annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek in June.

As of Aug. 1, Blaney had recorded five All Star wins in 2013 and is tied atop the series’ all-time win list with Kenny Jacobs with 98 victories. Blaney also recently wrapped up the UNOH All Star’s $10,000-to-win Western Region championship and leads the $20,000-to-win Ohio Region points over four time series champion Tim Shaffer.
