Busy Two Weeks At Attica Raceway Park

Attica, Ohio (Wednesday, July 12, 2006) – The next two weeks will feature exciting racing and lots of cars and stars at Attica Raceway Park.

On Friday, July 14, Underground Utilities Inc. will sponsor the action featuring the 410 sprints, 305 sprints, limited late models and dirt trucks.

The limited lates will be competing for the feature’s top prize of $1,000! Aluminum motors will be allowed, but cars utilizing them must add 150 pounds of weight to the front of the car. Weight must be completely located in front of the center line of the front shocks. Aluminum heads will be allowed, but cars utilizing them must add 50 pounds of weight to the front of the car. Weight must be completely located in front of the center line of the front shocks. All weights must be properly secured. The limited late models will not have a tire rule or a weight rule.

Also, the dirt trucks will be running for $450 to win and $300 for second courtesy of Tiffin Community Business Sponsors – Burns Electric, Jeff Hoyda Dentistry, Myers & Smith Insurance, Nationwide Insurance, Molyet’s Market and Garden Center, Team 33, Baumgardner Co. and Quality Inn and Shell Shuckers.

Coming to “Ohio’s Finest Racing” venue on Friday, July 21, the Short Track Shootout featuring the stars of the National Sprint Tour with the feature paying $10,000 to win. California’s Jason Myers won the battle in May when the NST paid a visit to Attica. Steve Kinser, Danny Lasoski, Jason Solwold, Shane Stewart, Paul McMahan, Tim Kaeding, Brian Paulus and other stars will challenge the tough Attica regulars like Byron Reed, Mark Keegan, Mike Linder, Phil “Gasman” Gressman, David Harrison and more.

The general admission tickets for the NST show have been lowered to $25 for adults! Reserved seating still available for $30 (middle grandstands top 5 rows). Call the track office at 419-680-5606 to reserve your seats now.

Attica Raceway Park has also added 305 sprints to the July 21 show.

“With some rain outs we wanted them to be a part of the NST show to,” said ARP Operations Manager Rex LeJeune.

As a warm-up to the NST show, on Thursday, July 20, a sprint car show will be held at Baumann Pontiac, Buick, GMC in Tiffin (out past the Tiffin Mall on Rt. 18). NST stars and cars and some local Attica racers will be there from 5-9 p.m. to chat with fans, sign autographs and have t-shirts for sale.
